Aims and Scope

The Infrastructures have a vital role in the Transportation Industry, and it is allocated a significant portion of the national budget to construct and maintenance of such transportation infrastructural and structural facilities. Regard to these issues; the Transportation Infrastructures Engineering Journal aimed to develop and expand researches in fields of modeling, designing, implementing and maintaining of highways, railways, airports, ports and harbors.

The main aims and scope of the Transportation Infrastructures Engineering Journal include:

  • Designing and constructing of transportation infrastructures (encompass all parts/layers of highways’, railways,' airports’ and ports’ structure)
  • Designing of transport structural facilities (include all types of bridges, tunnels, harbors, metro and so on)
  • Designing and improving beneath layers for all types of transportation infrastructural and structural facilities
  • Employing of new materials, techniques, and technologies in constructing, implementing, practicing and monitoring of transportation infrastructural and structural facilities
  • Repair, maintenance, management and rehabilitation strategies and systems of transportation infrastructural and structural facilities
  • Strengthening, reinforcement, improvement and preservation of transportation infrastructural and structural facilities
  • Safety issues (contain traffic safety, transport structural facilities’ safety, health and safety engineering  (HSE) and other related topics)
  • Modeling and simulation applications in highway, transportation, traffic and structure engineering
  • Geometric design of highway, railway and airport facilities
