With the development of the transportation network, much of the country's revenue is spent on road maintenance. Due to the disadvantages of asphalt pavement over concrete pavement and increased bitumen cost, the use of concrete pavement has made economic justification. One type of concrete pavement is roller concrete pavement. One of the most important factors affecting pavement strength of roller concrete is the type and quality of its aggregates. The history of roller concrete pavement use has been mainly for low-speed roads or pavements, although today with the advancement of technology and the development of higher-performance finishers and higher compressive strength, it has been possible to use them at higher speeds. In this study, the possibility of using scrap ceramic aggregates for replacement with natural aggregates in roller concrete was investigated. The use of waste materials will not only reduce waste and recycle it properly but will also help to reduce the consumption of natural materials in the construction and environment economy. Experiments on compressive strength, tensile strength, specific gravity and water absorption were performed on roller concrete specimens. Experimental results show that the compressive and tensile strength of roller concrete at 28 days of age by the replacement of ceramic aggregates as fine grains significantly increases the compressive and tensile strengths by 39 and 5.2 MPa, respectively. The use of ceramic aggregates as coarse grains also improves the compressive and tensile strength of the roller concrete compared to the control. The results of this study indicate the importance of using ceramic aggregates to improve the performance of roller concrete. Finally, due to the use of ceramic aggregates in concrete, its specific weight has decreased and its water absorption has increased due to the absorption of more ceramic aggregates.
